The BISC's internationally themed courses combine with field studies throughout England and Europe, introducing students to both academic excellence and exploration of the world. We provide students with an international perspective, a strong grounding in communication, core degree courses, and a sense of social and global awareness. Queen's high standard of academic excellence is a hallmark fully shared at the Castle, with additional depth. When you arrive at the Bader International Study Centre, you will find yourself among some of the best students from around the world. Along with your fellow students, the supportive environment at the Castle will encourage and inspire you to academic success. A gift from one of Queen's University's most distinguished alumni, Dr. Alfred Bader, and his wife Isabel, Herstmonceux Castle is now the site of Queen's own Bader International Study Centre. Located in the countryside of East Sussex, England (to the south of London), the Castle becomes a home-from-home for students from all over the world, who go there to share an unparalleled educational experience, characterized by small class sizes, integrated hands-on field studies, and a diverse faculty and student population.
