Eligibility & Deadlines
Eligibility:
A minimum of a
2.6 GPA is required, although some programs require a GPA higher than a 2.75-3.0.
Students must be a second semester sophomore or in
their junior year. If you are looking to study abroad during your senior year,
you must contact the Study Abroad Office to see if an exception can be made.
You must be in good academic standing and be approved
to study abroad by the Dean of Students.
All majors are eligible to study abroad.
Some foreign language programs require at least the
212 level or equivalent of language study at Elizabethtown College.
Deadlines:
To study abroad in the summer or fall, students must submit
applications no later than March 4.
To study abroad in the spring, students must submit
applications no later than October 15 (Please note: BCA Spain programs now have a deadline of October 1).
The Study
Abroad Office strongly encourages all students to meet with the Director of
Study Abroad at least 1 year before they intend to study abroad in order to
make sure all deadlines will be met on time. Students that plan to study abroad
in the following semester that have not yet met with the Director or attended
an information session should contact the Study Abroad Office as soon as
possible.
