Experience) credit over the summer! Sol Education Abroad (an Etown affiliate) offers many summer sessions that would fulfill this requirement. You can refer to the Dates & Prices section on their website to find a summer session that will best fit your schedule:
Announcing Two New Programs Added as Affiliate Locations! The Study Abroad Office is thrilled to announce two new affiliate programs that will be available to Elizabethtown College students in Spring 2017. University of Granada through Sol Education Abroad Situated in Granada, Spain, this program the perfect location for Spanish majors and minors, International Business majors, and any majors interested in taking classes in Spanish or English related to Spanish culture, history, civilization, art, etc! Besides offering tracks in both English and Spanish, advanced speakers can take education, business, and NGO internships or classes with locals. They also offer summer programs. Hellenic American University through CISabroad Located in Athens, Greece, this program offers classes in English in a wide variety of majors, including Business Administration, Psychology, Accounting, Information Technology, English Language & Literature, Music, along with several general education courses. This is a great program for those who want to study abroad but need to take courses that are very similar to those offered in the U.S. Hellenic American University is considered a U.S. institution of Higher Ed! Sarah Fuller completes Education Research at Umbra Sarah Fuller, an Elizabethtown College student and Special Education Major, completed an independent research project during her fall semester abroad in Perugia, Italy. As part of her project Sarah interviewed those in the education community of Perugia with the goal of learning how culture and laws are interconnected to support inclusive education. This project was completed in collaboration with Dr. Christian Tarchi, a professor at Umbra University. There is more information about Sarah's research here. U.S. News List of Best Countries to Study Abroad In U.S. News has just released a list of the best countries to study abroad in. Italy topped the list as the #1 place to study abroad in the world. Did your country make the list? This list is based on data from a survey taken by people from all over the world. The list can be found here.
New Scholarship available for students studying in Asia The Institute of International Education is relaunching the Freeman Awards for Study in Asia. This scholarship is available for students with limited experience and demonstrated financial need studying abroad in East and Southeast Asia. This scholarship will fund both semester and year long study abroad programs. The awards range from $3,000 for a summer, $5,000 for a semester, and $7,000 for a year long program.
